Happy Ramadhan 1430H

The ritual to break fast at the mother-in-law's house on the first dah of Puasa had to be postponed because the MIL is not around. We thought she would be back on the 2nd day of Puasa and I prepared Pandan Chicken. Unfortunately she will only be back at 9pm on the 2nd day of puasa... which is last night and this shows how bad my grammar is...

Anyway we decided to go on with the plan yesterday. We went to Cheras and visited Ceng's latest addition to the family. A cute litte boy named Hafiy (if I'm not mistaken). Below are the pictures on the "step by step" how to make Pandan Chicken, extracted from myresipi.com.

Step 1: Prepare the pandan leaves.

Step 2: Prepare the pandan juice by blending the pandan leaves with some water.

Step 3: Peel off the skins of some garlic and ginger.

Step 4: Pound them with a pestle in a mortar.

Step 5: Prepare some coriander seeds, fennel seeds and chili powder.

Step 6: Blend them in a dry blender.

Step 7: Cut the chicken and put them in a marinating case.

Step 8: Pour the pandan juice into the ice cream tube.

Step 9: Pour in the blended dry herbs.

Step 10: Add in some chicken or beef curry powder.

Step 11: Wrap the chicken with some more pandan leaves.
Step 12: Deep fry them in super hot oil.
Step 13: Serve and eat for berbuka puasa.

Step 12 and 13 are not pictured because I am too hungry to grab the camera and snap the outcome. The grand-aunty commented that it need more spices.. I agree!
